In partnership with Bow Valley Credit Union, Kiwanis Club of Cochrane awards six $1000 scholarships to Grade 12 students in Cochrane to attend post secondary institutions.
The scholarships are awarded to recognize demonstrated commitment to volunteer community service and leadership within the Cochrane Community.

Annual Kids Christmas Toy Project
Annual Kids Christmas Toy Project
Kiwanis Kids Christmas Toy Project allows children in need (Identified by the Cochrane Family Community Support Services (FCSS) to shop for their own for their own Christmas gift. Santa is on hand for pictures. Kids also receive Goody bag with Candy, stuffed animal and of course some well-deserved Christmas Magic! In our last 3 years, over 250 kids celebrated with us.
Kamp Kiwanis
Kamp Kiwanis
An overnight summer camp for underprivileged / disadvantaged children. Operates as outdoor school and host of the annual Kiwanis Apple Festival. Kiwanis welcomes over 11,000 campers, students, and community members each year.

Having secure more than 190k towards the $250k project we will be fundraising towards achieving our financial goal to make this section of the park accessible to all. More info Here.
Bike Recycling Project
Bike Recycling Project
In 2019 we started a bike recycling project which led to the distribution of a little more than 80 recycle bikes to children in need in 2020.
Bicycle Safety Day
Bicycle Safety Day
Partnering again with the Cochrane Bike Society in 2022, 100 kids will participate in our first Bike Safety Day. The kids will have their bike and helmet safety inspected, coupons for basic bike tune up and new helmets if required, presentation on bike maintenance, safety on the road and on the trails, a small ride and access to the Cochrane Bike Society launch pad.

Hand Sanitizer and Soap Pandemic Project
Working in collaboration with our sister clubs in the Calgary Area, we supplied hand sanitizer during the pandemic lock down to the Cochrane Food Bank, the Big Hill retirement house, the Morley reserve.
